The Enneagram is amazing. There are many personality typologies that categorize people horizontally by their type (e.g. Myers-Briggs, Jungian, etc.), and while the Enneagram has its own 9-type classification system, it also includes the crucial vertical dimension of one’s “level of development,” or attachment to the ego. Since Educare’s course is about transformation and “unlearning,” it delves into how each of the 9 types acts out its imbalances and compulsions at the average and lower levels, and how it express its virtues and “Holy Ideas” at the high levels.

Before the course, I would have had a hard time describing anything as “sacred,” but I have no better word to describe the space Sandy creates. It is safe, trusting, and so encourages personal breakthroughs that it’s almost harder to resist transformation than to undergo it. Learning about and being with the Holy Ideas of each type is particularly inspiring. I was moved to tears by each of them.

The course’s structure is conducive to transformation since the in-person portion is sandwiched  between a group conference calls and one-on-one check-ins with Sandy over a span of 3 months. The length of time is a real gift, since it allows the participants to steep in the information and to stay with it past their points of natural resistance—a huge part of the “unlearning” process.

Dollar for dollar and minute for minute, I personally benefited more from this course more than any other self-development endeavor that I have ever undertaken. If you are interested in going deep, deep, deep down the rabbit hole of your personality structure, understanding how it can traps and manipulates you into suffering and isolation, and learning how you can be free, this course is the first step.

I signed up for the course not knowing anything about the Enneagram or what it was.  After taking the test and determining my type, it felt like hearing someone talk about all the things I’ve always thought about myself and how I see things – things I had never talked or shared with another person.  So I found a connection and usefulness to the Enneagram very quickly. 

However, the best part of this discovery was having 10 fellow travelers sharing this journey and discovering how to ‘unlearn’ all the conditioned programming that I had unconsciously accepted about myself, others, and the world.  The conference calls provided the perfect format for hearing from others about how they were discovering, uncovering, and using the Enneagram ideas.  Not only was I inspired by their sharing but it furthered my own spiritual awakening.

Our weekend together at the Educare Unlearning Institute felt like family coming together to learn, share and celebrate.  I only knew one other person in our group, but found a family that welcomed and loved me.  The sacred space of the weekend in learning more about each type and seeing the spirituality and perfection in everyone there, spurred my own discoveries, inspiration, and spiritual growth.  None of us wanted the weekend to end. We all felt embraced in compassion and support.

During the conference calls, weekend workshop and individual calls, Sandy took the academics of what we were learning about the Enneagram and translated them into understandable and tangible connections.  He helped us to take personality traits we had been identifying with and ‘unlearn’ their role in our lives by helping us to discover our own wholeness and oneness with Grace. 

He creates a sacred space of discovery and enlightenment that facilitates each person’s individual growth and transformation.  Everyone is included and allowed to move at their own pace.  Whatever you are willing to ‘unsee’ or ‘unlearn’ about yourself is supported during these classes and workshops.  I felt safe, supported and most of all – loved.

Introduction

This offering from Educare is an opportunity to get in touch with the glory that is you and everyone, through unlearning on your individual path.  the course will include two kinds of activities:

• 2 Individual Coaching Sessions with Sandy Wilder
• 1 Three-Day Program (In-person or Zoom)
  

Together we will be exploring the Enneagram. It is a remarkable tool illustrating how divine Presence embraces us here and now.  It shows nine unique ways that you may express that shining Presence, when you are in your zone, saying “Yes” to the universe. 

It also illustrates the corresponding ways that you may show up when you are having an off day. It brings increased awareness to the egoic personality patterns so as to facilitate unlearning. We each primarily show up as one of nine types when we are not feeling our oneness with Divinity. It’s how we say “No” to the moment.

This powerful unlearning tool can help you with your own awakening, and with relationships with family, friends, colleagues, students, church associates, etc.  It aids us in recognizing and depersonalizing the patterns of egoic thinking and feeling.

I am convinced that this tool is extremely powerful, and have seen the impact in my life, as well as many people close to me. 

Approach

The idea behind this program’s approach is that it is something we will be exploring individually and collectively. We will use a text, an online assessment tool, and then interactively sharing together that which we will be unlearning and discovering. This is very much a “working class.”

• Before the class: Individual 0ne-hour call scheduled at a mutually convenient time.
• The Three Day Program is 8:30—7:00 each day
• After the class: Individual optional one-hour call scheduled at a mutually convenient time.

 

Fee

The Educare Unlearning Institute has a discounted sliding scale for all our offerings in an effort to keep our courses affordable to a wide range of people. We set forth no criteria and trust that each individual will pay what he/she feels is appropriate.

The fee for this program includes a three day session and up to two individual sessions.

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel more than one month before the program date, your full paid fee will be refunded, less a $50 processing fee. If you cancel two—four weeks before the program date, 50% of the program fee will be refunded.  If you cancel within two weeks of the program date, or during the program, the full program fee is nonrefundable and non-transferable to another date.
